A graduate of Southern Illinois University Law School, Heidi Scott has worked as an attorney and CPA focused on real estate, tax law, and estate planning for over two decades. She began her career as a tax attorney with the Illinois Department of Revenue, where she assisted in writing tax regulations and litigating cases involving tax law. Heidi Scott left the Department of Revenue in 2014 and now focuses on her work as the owner of a private law office. She also owns and operates Schuyler Brown Land Title, a real estate title firm.

Outside of work, Mrs. Scott pursues various hobbies and interests, including playing the flute and piano. She also enjoys traveling and has visited a number of European countries over the years. Her travels have taken her to Bali, an island that is part of Indonesia, and Africa as well. Closer to home, she has given back to her community as a youth soccer coach and former president of the Illinois Government Bar Association, where she created a scholarship program for law students planning to pursue careers in government.
